Dr. Dre & LeBron James - PowerBeats Commercial

Dr. Dre and LeBron James have joined forces to promote their new venture, LeBron’s Power Beats headphones by Beats By Dre and Monster Cable. Set for a retail price of $169.95 per-pair, the headphones are designed to attract fitness-orientated enthusiast consumers.

We worked with LeBron to make sure these would be the ultimate headphones for athletes. I’m always about the performance, the sound, and LeBron brought what he needed in terms of function to the table. I’ve been wearing the prototype for PowerBeats in the gym every day for the last few months so I can honestly say they’re the best headphones for working out.

Honoring this concept, both shot a very entertaining commercial spot featuring comedian Affion Crockett.

In related news, Dr. Dre announced that he plans to release Detox in December. Earlier leaks that were rumored to be intended for the album, won’t be featured. Stay tuned.
