Isaiah Rashad has kept a relatively low profile in 2016, only surfacing with his most recent solo single “Smile” and “Happy Birthday,” a celebratory collaboration with fellow TDE family members SZA and Childish Major. Today, Rashad has broken an extended silence with “Free Lunch,” a lush, chilled-out hip hop jam littered with earthy percussion, driving verses and soulful guitar lines. Rashad’s last full release was his 2014 debut EP Clivia Demo, so hopefully this single is an indication that there’s a new project on the way from the Tennessee rapper.
