Rejoice everyone. R&B icon Maxwell has officially returned to the scene with his long-awaited new album, blackSUMMERS’night. The follow-up to 2009’s BLACKsummers’night release is the second volume of an ongoing trilogy of albums that are “loosely based on the concept of a night out for a woman named Black Summers.” Co-produced by Maxwell and Hod David, the same team that also co-produced the first installment, the record marks a stronger direction to upbeat electronic sounds.
