Vic Mensa was invited to the latest episode of Complex‘s Everyday Struggle to speak on various topics with DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden. When Akademiks brought up the topic of Chicago rap, Vic wasn’t having it and responded with a serious, “I wanted to slap you in your face.” He continued, “I really felt as if people exactly like you sensationalized and made a following off of clowning situations we go through in real life.” Vic was particular unhappy about DJ Akademiks’ comments on Tray 57’s death, a person that Vic knew and grew up with.
