'The Last of Us Part II' Trailer Showcases Brutal Ellie Gameplay
One of the greatest modern stealth games is finally returning.
The Last of Us Part II graces the E3 stage following its trailer last year for Sony’s E3 conference, this time showcasing live gameplay and a glimpse at young Elle from the first game defending herself. The demo featured intense combat scenarios both beginning and ending with a kiss to parallel the somber moment with her gruesome brutality.
The PlayStation Blog states: “Ellie is now 19 and has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson” at the time of the demo. Ellie has found some peace but it is “disrupted by a violent act.” Developer Naughty Dog has overhauled the previous games system to feature new combat and stealth mechanics, as well as more sophisticated enemies that communicate and are aware of each other.
