Kelechi shares with us his newest release, Before The Quarter</em, a full length project tagged with an all-star team of creatives that help orchestrate what maybe a classic for years to come. This following his triumph during the MTN DEW/Greenlabel Open Call contest. Since then Kelechi has used the platform to find himself on many stages at the last 2 SXSW’s, been direct support on both Chance the Rapper and Waka Flocka Flame’s tours, and most importantly recorded a full length album funded by Greenlabel back in February of 2015. This contest that was won has turned more into a partnership between Greenlabel and stndrd. The album features Trinidad James, BJ the Chicago Kid, Nate and Peter Cottontale of The Social Experiment and many more. Before the Quarter is a letter or many letters that Kelechi wrote to himself as well as to the listeners. It is a very personal album as well as a very relatable album.
