A Look Inside Lucien Smith's "FRIENDS" Exhibit at Virgil Abloh's EM PTY GALLERY
Paintings and Off-White™ T-shirts inspired by Smith’s iPhone photos.
Genre-busting artist Lucien Smith recently launched his first solo exhibition at Virgil Abloh‘s EM PTY GALLERY in New York City’s SoHo district this past Tuesday night. Entitled “FRIENDS,” the show displayed a series of portrait paintings inspired by iPhone photos captured by Smith. Collectively, these images portray close friends of Smith at candid moments. Accompanying the figurative artworks are limited edition Off-White™ T-shirts embellished with one of the paintings, each tee costs approximately $350 USD. To further celebrate the occasion, a live band performed throughout the duration of the event.
