McLaren Debuts "Design Editions" Onyx Black 570S Spider
The company’s customers were having difficulty choosing customized cars.
Customers of luxury automobile outfit McLaren may believe that there can be too much of a good thing: they were reportedly having trouble choosing bespoke colors, finishes, materials and interiors for their new 570S Spiders. To remedy this, the company has introduced its “Design Editions” program. This initiative will allow for purchasers to select from a variety of makeups selected by the McLaren design team, ensuring that each vehicle’s design is entirely complementary. The above design showcases the “Onyx Black” body paint, which includes a tonal retractable hard top, 10-spoke Stealth-colored forged-alloy wheels and brake calipers executed in McLaren Orange.
Each of the distinct paint options offers a quartet of sport-friendly interiors or one luxury style to choose from. Customers can expect to pay £8,100 to £10,700 GBP (about $11,440 to $15,120 USD) for the upgrades, on top of the car’s approximate retail price of $232,755 USD.
