On the heels of some politically-inspired visuals from groundbreaking visual artist Vic Berger, Super Deluxe moves on from Donald Trump and Alex Jones for a new vignette about cassette tapes. The new entry in the “Stoned Mode” series from Super Deluxe documents the physical, technical, and creative processes behind cassette tapes, while the entire procedure is presented in an “oddly hypnotic” form. From beginning to end, Super Deluxe delivers the birth of a tape in about four-and-a-half minutes of footage. With vinyl having its nostalgic moment in the spotlight, cassette tapes stand poised to have their own resurgence.
