Gambino’s character fails to become a rap star, but his cousin develops into the city’s hottest rapper.
Donald Glover transitioned back to acting and directing from music in 2015. This summer, a new series coming to FX titled Atlanta, which is starring, written and produced by Glover, will be coming to FX. The series revolves around Earnest “Earn” Marks (played by Glover), who returns to Atlanta after failing to become a rap star. However, his cousin happened to become the city’s hottest new rapper. In addition to Donald, the show co-stars Keith Standfield, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Brian Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz. Watch a teaser trailer below.
