Boys Noize Remixed the Legendary Afrika Bambaataa Song "Planet Rock"

Boys Noize‘s admiration and appreciation for music outside of his craft’s confines is well-documented, and now he’s paying his respects to one of NYC’s greatest living legends. In support of Record Store Day, Boys Noize has cooked up a remix of Afrika Bambaataa and The Soulsonic Force‘s historic effort “Planet Rock.” Boys Noize’s take on the track will be featured as one-third of a Planet Rock Remixes project scheduled to drop on the aforementioned music holiday, which will also feature the original and a Lunice flip of the song. As Pitchfork notes, this EP will serve as a “companion” to the upcoming soundtrack to the new documentary 808. You can stream Boys Noize’s new production below. The Planet Rock Remixes EP will arrive on April 16 via Big Beat/Atlantic/Boysnoize Records.
