Those who were tuned in to the Super Bowl LII coverage tonight were treated to a special teaser of the Cloverfield franchise by J.J. Abrams. Teased in a 30-second trailer, The Cloverfield Paradox brings us back ten years to the origins story, giving viewers a better explanation of what lead up the events in Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane.
The story, previously named God Particle, revolves around a team of astronauts who work to solve a global energy crisis — but a botched experiment abroad a space station leads to some dire consequences. The best part about this announcement is that fans with a Netflix account will be able to watch this directly after the Super Bowl.
