MGMT Debut "Me & Michael" Music Video
Directed by Joey Frank and Randy Lee Maitland.
MGMT release their new single “Me & Michael,” which is accompanied by a music video. The narrative-based visual is directed by Joey Frank and Randy Lee Maitland and follows MGMT’s rise to fame and fall from glory as they steal a song written by Filipino band Truefaith. An established rock band from the Philippines, Truefaith even recorded a version of the track, “Ako at si Michael,” just for this MGMT video.
Andrew and Ben are releasing Little Dark Age, their new album, at the end of the week. They have previously dropped “Hand It Over,” “When You Die,” and the title track from the album. The ten-song LP features additional production from Patrick Wimberly (formerly of Chairlift) and Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Spoon, Tame Impala). MGMT also recently kicked off their tour overseas.
