Another eventful week has ended and it is now time to present the latest volume of Hypetrak’s Weekly Sets. On top of the list resides Lupe Fiasco with his “Super Lupe Rap”, which was produced by long time collaborator Soundtrakk. It looks like the ChiTown-MC has found an adequate way to celebrate the eventual release of Lasers. Speaking of celebration, KiD CuDi’s Dot Da Genius-produced “Maybe” has emerged onto the blogosphere. The tune serves as the iTunes Bonus Track and is sure a valuable asset to the already impressive tracklist of Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Staying loyal to his immense following Kanye West unleashed another G.O.O.D. Friday-tune. This time around, it is the often speculated about “Chain Heavy” which was produced by the legendarily vibrant one Q-Tip. The track boasts wordplay by Consequence and Talib Kweli. Traveling man Theophilus London offered a revamped version of his I Want You-track “Flying Overseas”. The talented Brooklynite added the increasingly impressive Solange Knowles for the hook. Thus, it makes only sense that the song becomes Mr. London’s next single. Concluding this week’s top five, are dynamic duo Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa. Both rappers flow over Toto’s timeless 80s jawn “Africa” for their collaboration “Huey Newton”. With all the material they have recorded together lately, an joint album would make sense.

Further favorites of our readership encompass J. Cole and Drake’s lusty “In The Morning”, Deadmau5 latest single “Right This Second”, Kid Sister’s party-igniting “Don’t Stop Movin’”, Blackbird Blackbird’s brilliant remix of Warpaint’s “Undertow” and DJ Jazzy Jeff’s very own Roller Boogie perspective of Mayer Hathworne’s “No Strings”.

Last week’s selection of music videos are diverse as they get – educating, entertaining, sexy, dramatic, dancefloor-friendly. For instance N.E.R.D.’s polically-themed visual for “Life As A Fish”, Shit Robot’s “Take ‘Em Up”, Cee-Lo Green’s metropolitan “Bright Lights, Bigger City”, OK Go’s experimental “Last Leaf” , Hot Chip and Bonnie Prince Billy’s “I Feel Better”, Ratatat’s birdy “Neckbrace”, Rick Ross, Birdman and Weezy’s “Veteran’s Day”, Chromeo’s steamy “Hot Mess”, Ellie Goulding’s heartfelt “Your Song”, Sleigh Bell’s unofficial “Riot Rhythm”, and Rihanna and Drake’s tete-a-tete “What’s My Name”.

On the mixtape-scene, there is no way of missing J. Cole’s Friday Night Lights which shut down the internet for a few hours. In case you are missing sunny days in the winter, feel free to check out PUNCHES’ So Long Summer. Enjoy in the audible recap below.
