A Tribe Called Quest Promotes Unity in New "We The People" Video
Q-Tip and co. are here to lift spirits.
[gallery columns="3"]Yesterday, A Tribe Called Quest promoted the release of their new video for the We Got It From Here, Thank You 4 Your Service cut “We The People” via a “first look” teaser. As promised, the vignette’s final product has arrived in time for the weekend. Debuted alongside Q-Tip’s sitdown with Trevor Noah for The Daily Show, the politically-charged “We The People” piece comes to us as a vessel to express the group’s uplifting message of unity. Q-Tip explained the mission behind “We The People” to Trevor Noah as such:
“We wanted to try to pose the scenario, rather than be heavy-handed and straightforward of it, but within music and within song and within art, we’re able to present this tapestry that really shows the truth that we’re all kind of joined together, truly.”
Thanks to some impressive animated graffiti, deceased member Phife Dawg also manages to make a brief “appearance” in ATCQ’s latest video. You can view the visuals for “We The People” above, while A Tribe Called Quest’s final studio album is available for streaming and purchase now.
