The Ting Tings - Hands (Passion Pit Remix)

In true Passion Pit fashion, the Bostonian ambassadors of Electropop take on The Ting Tings’ hit “Hands” which has grown into an underground favorite within the past weeks. Here’s the duo’s scoop on the original version:

“We toured the world for two years and enjoyed every minute of it, but we kind of pushed ourselves a little hard. [The tour] ended around Christmas, and I got really exhausted and really ill, and [drummer/producer] Jules [De Martino] was very exhausted as well. In January, we went to Berlin and ‘Hands’ was the first song we wrote. We were so tired and in complete shock about what had happened to us for two years. And everybody we knew — friends and family, and people we loved and cared about — they had a really tough year or two while we were traveling. So ['Hands'] was a kind of shout out to those people that we care about.’ – Vocalist/guitarist Katie White
