Pete Rock & Nas to Reunite on The Lost Tapes 2

It’s been 18 years and counting since “The World is Yours” dropped and since then, fans always wondered when the two hip hop giants would join forces again. But as of today, courtesy of Pete Rock’s twitter, fans can now prepare for an uncanny return of Nas and Pete Rock on the upcoming The Lost Tapes 2 project which is slated for release on December 14th.

In related news, the famed producer talked to Billboard about his contribution to the much anticipated Kanye West & Jay-Z-EP Watch The Throne.

That came as a surprise to me because Jay-Z and I had never worked together. I used to go to Jay-Z sessions to hang out, and once he asked me to help clear a Nas sample, but other than that… When the engineer called and said, ‘Pete, I got a surprise for you,’ and I heard Jay rapping over my beat, I was like, ‘Wow! It was great to hear Jay over a Pete Rock beat. Wow. He says my name on the shit and everything!

This is turning into something real epic.
