Metro Boomin Shows Us How He Produces Beats
Jumpman, Jumpman, Metro Boomin on production.

Metro Boomin has been steadily rising in the hip-hop scene. The young music producer, born Leland Wayne, was born in Missouri and began making music at the age of 13 when his mom bought him a laptop with the popular production program, Fruity Loops. Since moving to Atlanta he’s been responsible for making beats for the likes of Future, Drake, Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich Homie Quan and Travi$ Scott, among others.
In an effort to expand to the music industry, gaming software company Razer teamed up with the hot producer for a tutorial on beat production. In the video, Metro Boomin talks us through basic steps of drum sequencing and the layering of complex loops with 808s, drums, hi-hats, snares and claps off a Razer Blade machine. Stay tuned for a second installment where Metro Boomin delves into more technical facets of sound production, and expect more videos like this to be released soon with other featured guest producers.
