Kanye West Auditions for 'American Idol'

After hitting up a Democratic fundraiser in San Francisco over the weekend, Kanye West apparently made a trip to downtown for the American Idol auditions in progress. American Idol was hosting auditions for its final season, and apparently Kanye wanted a piece of the action. There’s some clips of footage from the audition on Instagram, but no word yet on how this will tie in with the program’s official airing or what exactly went down. TMZ has some screencaps of Kanye, wife Kim Kardashain and Ryan Seacrest and Yeezy holding an “I’m Going To Hollywood” sign, so it looks like everything went pretty well.
