Here's Will Smith's First Song in More Than a Decade
The Fresh Prince dusts off his skills to rap in Spanish.

Yes, it is true. Will Smith went back to making music. Today, the Fresh Prince makes a guest appearance on the remix of Colombian dance group Bomba Estéreo’s “Fiesta.” A bit random you say? Well, it is worth pointing out that Will heard the song during a recent trip to Colombia and approached the “electro tropical” group to assist them on a remix. A music video for the remix has recently been filmed in Los Angeles, which will drop very soon. In a statement Bomba Estéreo’s founder/multi-instrumentalist Simón Mejia said:
“When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn’t believe it/ This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of. It’s not a traditional featuring – it’s just magic. We all had a blast together at the video shoot, and we want to thank Will for being so warm and such a pleasure to work with … and for rapping in Spanish!”
Smith hinted that he might be ready to rejoin the music world after revealing that he hit the studio with Kanye West to work on new tracks.
“I went into the studio with Kanye. I’m thinking about it. I’m exploring. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet, but I’m exploring. I’m in a creative ceiling. My son tells me I have to write out the things I don’t like. I can’t write and stop – I have to keep going and going and write them out. I’ve never worked like that before, but I think I might give that a shot.”
