Following in The Met’s footsteps, the Art Institute of Chicago is now enabling free high-res downloads of images portraying iconic artworks from their vast collection. A total of 53,438 photos encapsulate the online launch, from Vincent Van Gogh’s The Bedroom (1888) to Piet Mondrian’s Lozenge Composition with Yellow, Black, Blue, Red, and Gray (1921).
