Emerging streetwear label Syndicate Original released its Fall/Winter 2018 collection, entitled “Truth,” which draws inspiration from George Orwell’s renowned 1984 book. The neutral-hued capsule boasts a bevy of print T-shirts, sweaters and outerwear garments with military influences.

The collection’s dystopian theme designates the current time as a “new 1984” which sees “George Orwell’s fears [become] a reality” where “fake stories fuel fake wars to create a hook for fake news.” Graphic prints of overwatching eyes reference Big Brother and motifs such as peace signs cite war themes.
