Continuing his exhibitions in unorthodox locations, Gosha Rubchinskiy recently presented his latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Following up a lauded Spring/Summer 2018 show in St. Petersburg, Rubchinskiy chose to bring his latest range east of the Ural Mountains to celebrate the history of his homeland.
Set at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center, the presentation served as a history lesson recounting the Yeltsin’s rule of Russia from 1991 to 1999. Models dressed in the adidas, Burberry, Levi’s and Dr. Martens collaboration-studded collection walked through the museum’s rooms guiding the audience through the country’s past. Despite the strong Russia focus, glimpses of British styling captivated audiences alongside Rubchinskiy’s signature athleisure and pragmatic military looks.
