The Upcoming Steven Spielberg Documentary Releases Its First Trailer
With appearances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese.
Known as one of the greats, Steven Spielberg is one of few directors that have been able to master the various genres encompassing the film universe. With nearly 50 years in the industry, Spielberg has touched upon science fiction, drama, crime, and more even redefining the blockbuster term for modern cinema with his hits Jaws, E.T the Extra-Terrestrial and Jurassic Park.
To honor his work, HBO has created a feature-length documentary about the renowned filmmaker and master storyteller aptly titled, Spielberg. Directed and produced by Susan Lacy, the documentary includes first hand stories from Spielberg himself along with other filmmaking legends and colleagues such as Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, Leonardo DiCaprio, J.J Abrams, and Francis Ford Coppola to name a few.
With over 30 hours worth of exclusive interview footage, the final cut of Spielberg will premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 5 before it makes its HBO debut on October 7. Watch the trailer above.
