Polly Boom Draws Inspiration From the Psychedelic Movement in Its 2017 Fall/Winter "Blossom" Collection
A comeback from the London-based brand.
London-based menswear brand, Polly Boom return with its third collection “Blossom.” Inspired by the late ’60s and ’70s psychedelic counterculture movement, the collection redefines traditional streetwear graphics as we see a return of monochromatic stripes placed alongside the original drawings by artist Joe Richards, highlighting the versatility of the collection.
Hand-drawn designs of withering flowers, screen-printed motorcyclist and screaming women neatly communicate the social tensions present in the late 1960’s and the rise of the counterculture movement that acted as a source of inspiration for many artists. We get a closer look at the collection that includes T-Shirts, hoodies, long sleeves and tote bags which can be viewed in the gallery above.
Polly Boom‘s 2017 fall/winter collection “Blossom” will be available at the brand’s London pop-up store on August 18 and 19.
