'The Simpsons' Creator Matt Groening's Next Animated Series Will Be Exclusive to Netflix

Netflix recently announced that it has officially tapped legendary Simpsons creator, Matt Groening for an exclusive animated series titled, Disenchantment. Originally rumored last year, the medieval series will center around the adventures of a hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and her personal demon Lucia in the kingdom of Dreamland. In a statement, Groening notes Disenchantment is a series about “how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots.” Starring Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche and John DiMaggio, Disenchantment’s 20 episode first season is set to debut sometime in 2018.
