The man behind the book, Andrew Morgan, grew up in New Jersey and Memphis in the ’80s and ’90s as an avid lover of hip-hop. He started the project in hopes of bringing together the first generation of rap lovers with the new; not only to remind the former of their younger years, but to impart wisdom on the next generation of the legends who paved the way for rap today.
Having seen what music can do for the kids he grew up with, Andrew plans to donate a portion of the profits to inner-city youth programs.
