Canadian designer Omar Gandhi is turning heads this week with new Halifax Store, RCHMND. Located near the corner of Granville St. and Duke St., RCHMND serves the city as a high-end, multi-brand clothing boutique. For the store’s design, Gandhi said he and his company chose to keep with the feel of the neighborhood while adding their own spin to the design.

“During the design process of the physical space, great emphasis was placed on respecting and celebrating the historic building’s character,” said Omar Gandhi Architects.

On the inside, the store holds a very clean all-white look, with large pillars and arches. The molds along the walls and roof compliment the walls, which hold empty spaces to hang clothing. The store also holds a series of benches down the middle of the floor plan.

Check out RCHMND’s website to see which brands they carry and for any other information.
