Givenchy Introduces the New Hybrid-Style Urban Hike Sneaker
A classic tennis sneaker with a rugged hiking boot mentality.
Just last week, we took a look at Clare Waight Keller’s initial pre-season menswear offering for the Givenchy house — giving way to a seasonal range consisting of printed blazers, graphic tops, and military-influenced outerwear. Looking ahead to Spring 2018, the luxury label reimagines the timeless tennis sneaker in such a way that pays homage to the classic hiking boot silhouette. The Urban Hike Sneaker comes fitted with a distinct lacing system, rugged elastic-style laces, and sturdy metal hooks — effectively taking the shoe from the courts to the trekking fields.
Offered in either white or black matte leather, each spotlights a cushioned insole, soft napa lining and the signature heel side “GIVENCHY PARIS” logo stamped in gold. The new footwear design will be available come December 15 at participating Givenchy stores for a price of $475 USD.
