As Swedish sad boy Yung Lean prepared to unleash his long-awaited third album Stranger, the rapper dropped a short film by the same name depicting himself as a fugitive. Lean has now offered a prequel to the events shown in the film, with the visuals for his single “Metallic Intuition.” The video is directed by Suzie and Leo, the French creative team who also produced Stranger.
The Western-inspired video is described as “the story of a fugitive, traumatized, facing guilt” and shows the events of ”the day of the massacre” and depicts Lean as The Wanted Man as well as going some way to explaining the events of the day. The film ends with Yung Lean’s face painted red, the moment that the Stranger film begins.
