McDonald's Is Giving Away Free Big Macs via a Burger-Dispensing ATM
Coming to a single city at lunchtime today.

First pizza, now burgers.
Hot on the heels of the pizza ATM rollout that kicked off in the U.S. earlier this month, McDonald’s is getting in on the food-dispensing action. And the best part? It’ll only cost you a tweet.
After celebrating the Mac Jr. and Grand Mac launch with a 10,000-bottle Big Mac Sauce giveaway, the beloved Golden Arches are bringing a Big Mac-dispensing ATM to Boston today. Set to hit Kenmore Square between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the machine will dole out a free burger to customers who simply enter in their Twitter handles to the ATM’s touchscreen (the machine then generates a tweet from the customer’s personal account that reads “Check out the new Big Mac” before giving away the burger).
“It’s really just a fun way to be modern and progressive,” said Vince Spadea, a McDonald’s franchisee who is part of a cooperative of owners. “I think we’ll have lines out the door.”
If you’re in the area, look for the high-tech vending machine at the 540 Commonwealth Avenue McDonald’s location.
