The eco-friendly SUV gets the thumbs up from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
G-wagons are a favorite amongst SUV enthusiasts for its indulgent all-wheel drive and luxurious classic build
– especially if you’re Neek Lurk driving down the empty streets of LA at 4 a.m. But for all of its impressive merits, the gas-guzzling monster lacks in efficiency and environmental friendliness. Fortunately, Austrian-based battery startup Kreisel Electric has just unveiled an all-electric Mercedes G-Class so you can have your cake and eat it too. The eco-friendly SUV features two electric motors that can produce up to 360 kW (482 hp) and achieve sports car-level acceleration with the capacity to go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, making it faster than its gas-powered original. Advanced battery technology allows extremely fast charging and over 186 miles of driving range so you can drive in style without compromise. The Kreisel all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class is currently a prototype in testing with the assistance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was full of praise for the EV’s announcement:
“To me, with the electric version of this fantastic car, a dream has become true. The initial test drive was a real pleasure: The Kreisel is incredibly sporty and perfectly benefits from the advantages e-mobility has to offer. I really look forward to the following test runs and to the gradual further development in California.”
