Vetements Announces the Hiring of Nina Nitsche
“Now it’s becoming adult.”
With Demna Gvasalia taking over at Balenciaga, the Vetements founder is going to need some additional help at his other label and now he has it in the form of the renowned Nina Nitsche.
Gvasalia announced today that Nitsche, long associated with Maison Margiela, will be coming onboard and taking the title of Collection Director, overseeing the design team under Gvasalia’s direction in the seasons ahead. “Now it’s becoming adult,” joked Gvasalia of his label.
We’ll have to wait and see how the addition of Nitsche shakes things up going forward, but, in the meantime, we’ll get our latest look at Gvasalia’s work when Balenciaga hits the runway in Paris this upcoming Sunday.
