Urwerk Updates Its EMC to Create the Time Hunter X-Ray
Only fifteen of the in-your-face timepieces exist.

Long known for its bold, in-your-face timepieces, Urwerk has put a spin on its unique “Time Hunter” edition of the EMC to create the brand new Time Hunter X-Ray. Featuring the same conceptual movement — a mechanical movement paired with a crank-powered electronic module — that originally debuted back in 2013, the new take on the EMC once again allows wearers to geek out with on-demand balance rate and amplitude measurements and, in this case, couples a 43mm x 51mm x 15.8mm black PVD-finished case with sapphire crystals on both the front and back. Those crystals do well to highlight the open-worked dial, which showcases everything from a power reserve indicator and running seconds disc to the aforementioned rate variation and amplitude readings.
Like the last EMC Time Hunter, the new X-Ray is limited to just 15 pieces and retails for approximately $129,000 USD.
