Earlier in the year when Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his long-awaited Oscar, the actor used his speech time to take a stance on climate change and to petition world leaders – and us – to take it seriously. The saying “actions speak louder than words” holds true as the Hollywood actor has teamed up with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens to present a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change. The documentary Before the Flood will hit theaters in NYC and LA starting October 21 and will air globally on the National Geographic Channel on October 30.
