Hanon & Diadora Pay Homage to Italy's Passion for Road Cycling
The V.7000 gets transformed into the “Tuscan Racer.”
Earlier this summer, Hanon and Diadora teamed up for an “Inter City” edition of the V.7000 and now the two are back at it, once again tapping the aforementioned retro runner as a collaborative canvas. This time around, the co-branded design pays homage to Diadora’s stomping grounds and Italy’s passion for road cycling. The resulting “Tuscan Racer” taps the iconic mint green-like “Celeste” hue of the world’s oldest cycling company and couples it with a premium build of soft kangaroo leather, pigskin nubuck and breathable mesh. Juxtaposing the “Celeste” green is a mix of cream and white throughout as a nod to the white-walled tires and handlebar tape of old school racing bikes. Finally, special Hanon branding can be found on the likes of the heels and tongues, as well as the footbeds and lace tips.
Finished with a soft microfiber-lined collar and a reflective 3M underlay, the “Tuscan Racer” rendition of the V.7000 drops October 8 — complete with additional lace sets, a bespoke shoe box, co-branded tissue paper and custom dust bags.
