These Patchwork COMME Des GARÇONS Homme Plus Blazers Pay Homage to War Veterans

For this season’s CDG Homme Plus, Rei Kawakubo was inspired by war. However, she wasn’t particularly fascinated with the usual aspects of war we see translated into fashion — for example camouflage prints and bomber jackets. She wanted to reference the celebration of post-war returns and victories. Therefore, her collection sees plenty of floral prints and unusual homages to wartime conflict. These two blazers from the collection feature a patchwork style, one featuring various floral and baroque satin fabrics for sleeves against a chambray breast while the other boasts striped panels. The former retails for $1,855 USD while the latter retails for $1,724 USD. Both are available now at Union Los Angeles.
