John Mayer Helped Make These Costco Sneakers Go Viral

Looks like there’s a new hot sneaker in town and it’s not from Nike or adidas. Yeezy might have the streets on lock, soon to be followed by Pharrell’s Hu NMD, but Costco’s Kirkland Signature sneakers are running the Internet thanks to John Mayer and Instagram user Jack Wagner (@versace_tamagotchi). Starting off as a joke, Wagner posted a pic of the Costco ‘Kirkland 11’ sneaker, which soon took a life of its own when Mayer joined in on the fun, making a tongue-in-cheek sneaker promo on Snapchat. Over on Instagram, Mayer even joked that he paid $700 USD for the dad shoes. Luckily, you only have to pay $17 USD online to join in on the hype. Check out the Instagram interaction below.
