Jameson Gives Three Undiscovered Film Makers Their First Shot
Seizing an opportunity of a lifetime.
In an industry where connections can make or break you, getting the right support as a filmmaker is one of the biggest challenges. Knowing this, Jameson Whiskey gave writers and directors around the world the chance to pitch their work to be professionally produced in Hollywood. In its fourth year, the annual “Jameson First Shot” film contest has garnered the support of major actors such as Kevin Spacey, who has said ”I see the light in so many emerging talents’ eyes when they’re given a chance. That’s all the reward I need.”
This year’s winners include Cameron Thrower (California, U.S.), Kat Wood (Sheffield, UK) and Jason Perini (Sydney, Australia). Supporting the up-and-comers, Maggie Gyllenhaal brings all three projects to life. Check out the trailer above, and catch the debut of Jason Perini’s “The Empress” here 10 pm this Saturday July 30.
