The First Full-Length Trailer for Jonathan Jakubowicz's Boxing Drama, 'Hands Of Stone'
Providing a raw inside look at the legendary Panamanian boxer.
The Weinstein Company recently premiered the official trailer for one of the most highly-anticipated boxing movies this year, Hands of Stone. The film spotlights the life and career of iconic Panamanian boxer Roberto Durán, played by Edgar Ramirez. Revered as one of the greatest boxers in history, Durán clinched the nickname “Hands of Stone” after fighting numerous tough opponents in the ring, coming into the sport at the sprightly age of 16 and then battling Sugar Ray Leonard in 1980s to snag the WBC Welterweight championship.
The star-studded cast is comprised of Robert De Niro as trainer Ray Arcel, Usher Raymond as Sugar Ray Leonard, as well as Ana de Armas, Ellen Barkin and John Turturro.
The film is set to hit theaters on August 26.
