Gun-slinging robots in the Wild West of the far future, what’s not to like?
We first took a look at J.J. Abrams-produced HBO series Westworld last year, and after an age of waiting we can finally take another glimpse at what looks to be a very promising sci-fi western drama. Based on a 1973 thriller of the same name, the plot centers around a Wild West-themed amusement park of the future populated by androids, but their developing sentience spells trouble for humans when a robot gunman starts murdering visitors. In development since 2013, Westworld stars the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Tessa Thompson and Ed Harris, and is slated to hit the airwaves this October.
