This Italian Pianist's Arctic Performance Will Give You Chills
Wistfully playing a grand piano atop an artificial iceberg to warn climate change.
Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi recently played an original piece on his grand piano while atop an artificial iceberg made with 300 wooden triangles. Einaudi collaborated with Greenpeace for this momentous performance to help stipulate immediate protection for the slowly melting Arctic as a result of climate change. The massive yet disintegrating Wahlenbergbreen glacier adds a powerful backdrop to the pianist who wistfully strikes keys in the three-minute video above.
