Take a Look at HBO's Anxiety-Inducing Trailer for 'The Night Of'
“Don’t talk to anybody anymore. Shut it!”
HBO just released its first full trailer for The Night Of — an eight-part miniseries based on a British crime drama series called Criminal Justice. The suspenseful 90-second clip features a Pakistani-American man from New York City (Riz Ahmed) who apparently is in prison after being accused of murder. John Turturro makes an appearance, aptly playing a no-bullshit attitude lawyer who tirelessly reminds his anxious client to keep his mouth shut and hopefully everything will be alright. Michael K. Williams of The Wire and Boardwalk Empire also has a supporting role in the series. Needless to say, the harrowing scenes which enveloped make it very difficult to envision some peaceful outcome for the accused man, or even all parties involved.
With Steven Zaillain (Schindler’s List, Moneyball, All The King’s Men) directing multiple episodes and Richard Price (The Color Of Money, Clockers) penning the plot, viewers can surely expect a very fulfilling crime series.
The Night Of will premiere July 10 on HBO. Watch the trailer above and visit HBO’s official website to find out more details, here.
