Keep up With All Your Bilingual Friends With Google's New Tap to Translate Function
An Android exclusive.
Have you ever been in a group-chat with all your polyglot friends who keep switching between English, Hindi and Swahili, thus leaving you no choice but to copy-paste their indecipherable messages into Google Translate, only to find out that they were wishing you a Happy Friday, all while wasting precious minutes of your life in the process?
If so, worry no more. Google has you covered with its new Tap To Translate function, currently available exclusively through Android’s Google Translate app: simply select the portion of text that you’d like translated, tap the Google Translate icon and the app will decipher it for you. The app can also be used to translate your reply into your language of choice.
You can learn more about the Tap To Translate function from the video above and here.
