Check out the First Trailer for the Shia LaBeouf-Produced, Flying Lotus-Scored 'LoveTrue'
Premiering this week at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The upcoming LoveTrue is undoubtedly one of the most hotly anticipated films at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, and for good reason. Directed by Alma Har’el (whose Bombay Beach was named Best Documentary Feature at 2011’s festival), the documentary not only featured executive production from Shia LaBeouf, but includes an original score from Flying Lotus to boot. Shot in Alaska, Hawaii and New York, respectively, the film follows three real-life relationships and the complications that plague them. Said LaBeouf of the film and Har’el in particular:
Alma is a brilliant filmmaker who is using psychodrama as a platform for healing and insight. She makes you feel safe, learns of your life, shares hers with you. She encourages spontaneous creativity and holds your hand as you address your personal problems. Then she guides you as you externalize your real-life situations or fantasies, dreams, inner mental processes creatively. She really gives a shit about people.
Known for her artful blurring of the lines between documentary and fiction, Har’el’s LoveTrue will debut this Friday, April 15 with additional screenings slated for April 16, 19 and 20.
