Lomography Bridges Technology With the Past by Recreating the First Photographic Optic Lens

The lens from the 19th century Daguerreotype camera.

Lomography has long been known to bring back the charm and fun of vintage photography, but they have just gone a step further and recreated the world’s first photographic lens — the Daguerrotype Achromat 2.9/64 Art Lens. Included in the package is the Waterhouse Aperture Plate system that offers unique textures. Check out more on its Kickstarter page, where the lens has already reached its funding goal.
