Jerry Seinfeld Sold 15 Porsches for a Total of $22M USD
Keep in mind that’s only one-tenth of his car collection.

As reported earlier, Jerry Seinfeld put a portion of his sizable car collection up for sale to the highest bidder at Florida’s Amelia Island Auction and the comedian did quite well; in fact, he stands to make over $22 million USD from the night’s sales. The actor/comedian/coffee-getter maintains that he does not see his car purchases as investments, but they have certainly played out as such. Seinfeld’s 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder was the highest-grossing car of the night, nabbing $5.3M USD (it was valued between $5-6M), while the biggest failure was the comedian’s 2000 Porsche Carrera GT prototype, which failed to sell at all, while a 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder — thumbed by many to be the hot ticket — went for only $3M, despite a $5-7M valuation.
Porsches aside, the fluffy-shirted comic also set a record for Volkswagen Beetles when his 1960s Bug sold for $121,000 USD.
And to think these vehicles only make up around 1/10th of the funny man’s entire collection. All in all, not a bad night to be Jerry Seinfeld.
