This Deleted Scene From 'Batman v Superman' Explains a Possible Justice League Supervillian
And of course, Lex Luthor is behind everything.
With Batman v Superman making headlines about its record-breaking numbers this past opening weekend, both casual fans and diehards are dissecting all the Easter eggs and references found within the movie. Recently there’s a deleted scene that has emerged showing just one more element to the epic movie, this time explaining a possible future enemy to the heroes.
WARNING: SPOILER ALERT. The following contains information about the movie that may expose some bits of story line. Read on at your own discretion.
After Lex’s failed attempt to defeat Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman with his manifested Doomsday from the DNA found in his blood and the corpse of General Zod, his attention is focused once again in the birthing matrix to “commune” with an alien creature that holds three floating boxes — hinting at the arrival of Darkseid. Other references to Darkseid and his forthcoming reign of terror can be found in Batman’s “Knightmare,” where he envisions a world where Superman has turned to evil — a barren landscape with Darkseid’s “Omega” symbol prominently cratered into the ground and a world overrun by Darkseid’s Parademons. Lex perhaps learned of Darkseid and his powers when gaining access to the Kryptonian database of knowledge. Furthermore, when Cyborg’s video file was shown, a very-clear mother box is shown to give Cyborg his powers — fans are drawing lines to that mother box and the three shown in the deleted scene, all of which run parallel to that of Darkseid’s power.
