Commonwealth and Clear Weather Collaborate on "Smoke Signals" Sneaker
A moccasin low top that shows solidarity with Standing Rock.

Premier retailer Commonwealth and So-Cal footwear label Clear Weather have teamed up for a collaborative shoe titled “Smoke Signals.” The moccasin-sneaker hybrid, based off of Clear Weather’s Santora model, nods to its Native American influences by featuring a Navajo pig suede upper, a gusseted tongue, moc stitching, a rubber cupsole, and a customized lacing system. To commemorate the collaboration, the shoe features embossed logos of both brands as well as a hand beaded “C” and “W” on the vamp of each shoe. Take a look at the lifestyle shots of the sneaker, taken in Joshua Tree by photographer Steve Tirona. The “Smoke Signals” shoe will be available on Dec 10 exclusively at Commonwealth locations worldwide as well as online. As a showing of solidarity with the ongoing struggle at Standing Rock, a portion of the proceeds from “Smoke Signals” will be donated to the Legal Defense Fund of the Sacred Stone Camp.
