Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic Nets Premier League's 25,000th Goal
“I thought it was only me who had scored 25,000.”

The football legend still has it, even at the age of 35. Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended a run of 609 minutes without scoring in the Premier League when he bagged the team’s second goal against Swansea on Sunday. Zlatan’s goal gave Manchester United a 2-0 lead 21 minutes in — the final score being 3-1 — but even more importantly, it marked the 25,000th goal scored in the Premier League since its inception in 1992. And in typical Zlatan style, the striker stated, “I thought it was only me who had scored 25,000” when asked about his achievement. Now it’s only a matter of time before the 30,000th goal comes up.
